Marissa Chibas, who headed Cal Arts’ MFA acting program for seven years, will present excerpts from the new theatrical piece “The Los Angeles Founding Families” a unique historical/theatric
al presentation especially appropriate to the Heritage Square setting. Ms. Chibas’ most recent production, the critically acclaimed “Daughter of a Cuban Revolutionary, ” was presented at L.A.’s Redcat Theatre before travelling to Miami, Guadalajara and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Music will be provided by singer-songwriter Diedra Randolph, a frequent contributor to movie and TV soundtracks. Performances will be staged on the porch of the historic 1897 Lincoln Avenue Church, which was moved to Heritage Square in 1981 and meticulously restored by preservationists.

The Science and Math committee is proud to host Aldama’s first Star Party!!! The Astronomical Society would love for you to join us on March 15, 2013 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on the Playground and enjoy the wonders and beauties of the sky using telescopes and visual displays. This is a wonderful educational experience to enhance our understanding of the science of astronomy.
The event is FREE and open to the public. We will be selling refreshments to raise funds for the schools NEW Science Lab. Aldama is located at 632 N Ave 50 Los Angeles.
