It has been a few months since I added to the list – 10 Essential Items for an Emergency Kit, the easy way to get your safety kit together, one item at a time, once a week.  Here’s where we’ve been:

Items 1 & 2: Water and Food, 3: Documents, 4: Clothes, 5: Flashlight, 6: First Aid Kit, 7: Radio

Item 7: Toiletries (diapers, sanitary napkins, toilet paper and paper towels) Seems kind of obvious, but it’s the little things that we need to be reminded of.  So the next time you’re at Trader Joe’s, Target, Costco or where ever your t.p. comes from, double your quantity and add the extra to your kit. Plus side – if you ever run out of (fill in the blank) you have backup without having to run to the store.  Just don’t forget to replenish if you raid your stash!  Be safe!
